So what is that about? PSAutoSave is a small app which saves your Photoshop masterpiece with a regular basis. Various configuration options allows you to configure period, documents types, locations to save, preferred save mode.
Running app add its icon to notification area (or app tray), clicking which will show small popup with configuration, or have some options through context menu.
Default parameters comes with app are efficient for most cases.
While playing with auto-save, keep in mind that document size affect save time a lot! If you can, enable option to limit max document size. Also keep in mind, that Photoshop does not give final file size due to different file formats compression. (like CMYK, Lab compress color info for unused pixels)
Few versions are available.
This version is portable (except dependency on .Net which planned to be removed in future).
This Release Candidate was written to get rid of issues from previous version and move to newest technology
There is possibility to run Photoshop right from PSAutoSave - you have to create PSAutoSave shortcut file and add command line argument "ps-modal". After that you can even open documents through that shortcut. PSAutoSave will work in backgroud and close whenever Photoshop will be closed, in that case
This version has installer and runs without any dependencies.
This is last stable version of PSAutoSave. It has original logic and old technology its build on top of.
